FAQs

Q: What training methods do you use?
A: We use positive, reward-based training methods to make learning fun and effective for both you and your dog.

Q: What age can my puppy start training?
A: Puppies can usually start from around 8 weeks old, once they’ve settled into their new home. Our puppy classes are designed to give them the best start in life.

Q: My dog is too old for puppy classes, can they still join?
A: Absolutely! We run Foundation Classes and workshops tailored for older dogs and rescues, so every dog has the chance to learn and build confidence.

Q: Where do your classes take place?
A: Locations vary, but we regularly run sessions in St Albans, Hertfordshire. Class locations will always be confirmed before booking.

Q: Do you offer 1-to-1 training?
A: Yes! We provide personalised one-to-one sessions, both in person and online, perfect for dogs who need individual support.

Q: What equipment will I need for classes?
A: The essentials usually include a flat collar or harness, a standard lead, plenty of tasty treats, and a favourite toy. Some workshops (like recall or scent work) may require extra items, which we’ll let you know about beforehand.

Q: Do you offer scent work or tracking?
A: Yes! We run workshops in both scent detection and tracking — these are fantastic for giving your dog mental stimulation and a chance to use their natural abilities.

Q: How many dogs are in a class?
A: Class sizes are kept small (usually around 6 dogs) to ensure plenty of support and attention for each owner and dog.

Q: How do I book?
A: You can book online through our website, or email us to register your interest in upcoming classes and workshops.
